what adventures does everyone have planned for the new year

Margie hasn't seen Grand Canyon, so we'd like to go there. Might as well catch a bit of Utah too.
Other than that, the warmer months will be spent camping in forests of Arizona.
Fewer miles this year, more kickback time.

Not exactly "planned," but Baja is on the list.

East coast from Vt. to north FLA, meet with friends, maybe return northward west of Appalachians ...or who knows.

Had considered RTR, and visit friends in NM, maybe next year.

Going to central British Columbia for a music fest called "Becoming Shiloh" camping is free when you buy you ticket.

A homeschool conference in the BC Okanogan and of course the reason we live is to boogie board in Tofino
Kayaking at Succia island in the San Juans Better just admit it right now... we are spoiled rotten

I must go back to Lake Erie. I always feel rejuvenated there. The super big plan is New York City! Liberty Harbor RV Park in New Jersey advertises it is closest to NYC. It is pricey, pricey, but it will be better than a hotel for the little dog and me. If I could get the time off work, I'd like to go to Mr. Loo Reads GTG in PA.

I've been thinking about Yellowstone for Sept, Grand Canyon for Oct, North AZ for Nov and Quartzite for Dec/Jan. Maybe some over the top dreaming but that's my plan.

I live and travel in a 600 mile corridor from Yuma, Arizona to Durango, Colorado. This year I am going to explore more of Utah and Colorado. It is very difficult for me to return to places I have spent, what I consider too much time or have become too familiar with.

That's a pertty good plan but I might make some changes. October is okay for the Grand Canyon but too cold for Northern AZ. It's at 7000 feet or ore and November is cold. But it's the perfect time to visit Zion NP. The shuttles have stopped and you can drive back into the Valley and the leaves on the Cottonwoods are turning. BEST time to see Zion, cool but not cold.

I'd strongly suggest seeing Sedona, fantastic place! November can be too cold also and October is better.

We've been trying to sell the last property we own just outside Kingman, AZ. Then, take the money and buy an older class A RV. We already got our van, so we can run all over the place doing our vending business. If the house doesn't sell by May, guess we'll have to rent it out and just go. At least it's a little cash flow above the mortgage payment. Sure would like to just sell it off.

We'd like to be in Michigan by June, so we can visit my brother and spend time on Lake St Clair, vending anywhere we can set up along the way. Then, it's back on the road selling stuff at whatever event comes our way. We'll certainly spend some time in Utah on the way back, the scenery is beautiful. Then, we'd like to "dock" the bigger RV in Quartzsite in the fall, where we can vend every day until that dies out, while one of us runs up with the van packed with inventory to the Parker and Havasu area to work the weekends.

RE Bob's post above.
I was offered a job on The GC North Rim once a while back. Part of the info pkg had a little tidbit that the road closes in IIRC mid Oct and I would have to park my rig at lower elevations and stay in a dorm till the Rim closes for the season.
I have been to the South Rim ( a couple thousand feet lower than the North Rim) in March and still plenty of snow but roads were open.

You won't regret going to Zion in the slow season.....I hatesk crowds..... "excuse me , could you take our picture?"
