Not my area of expertise but thought some of you might be interested. This guy is using them to power his rv.

Panels have gotten so cheap I's suggest you be very careful to see how much you actually save. You might end up paying yourself a quarter an hour.

Some of the kit prices I've seen, means that you actually pay more for a less efficient panel. There are people selling kits on eBay for $60 that the seller rates at 30 watts. The kits do not include the aluminum frame, the cover glass, or the back board. You will also have to supple a charge controller. If you're looking to solarize your 'home' buy commercial panels, but if you're looking for some fun and maybe learning a little, then why not?
