Excited to slowly build out my newly acquired van!

I'm a proud owner of a 1997 Chevy Express 2500 Extended Cargo van, with low miles and completely empty, with a great roof rack, and some groovy artwork on the sides. Ready for building the dream!

Looking to create a self-contained sanctuary for both month long trips and long weekend music festivals.

At 46 years of age this year, I feel primed and ready to seek passion and purpose through this life project. Armed with a camera, I hope to document the insanity and goodness of it all.

Hopefully I can figure out how to post some pictures!

Welcome :)
Nice van, great for what you have in mind and beyond. Love that rack *envisions solar panels* ;)

Couldn't quite pull in the detail of the graphic...how about a close up??

There's a rule around here...you are required to post pics of your build and any music fests you attend ;):D

Hi,

It must be exciting to think about how you're going to design your future home from scratch. There are tons of great Youtube videos showing different ways it can be customized. Not to mention all the adventures you'll have ahead. wish you the best!

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Yes, the roof rack is perfect for 2-3 solar panels, and I plan to also have a Fantastic Fan installed. Should still be room for a couple of roof boxes if need be. I also would like to rig up some type of awning system to attach to the roof rack.

Welcome to the forum!! I think you'll find yourself right at home on here.

Do you think you could install the fan yerself? try it. I love people that try and fail because they become more real, try and succeed wow.
