Van Conversion

I have a Toyota Previa Van 1997.   It is a big van compared to the Sienna.  Very good gas mileage.  I wanted to find out if placed a shelf of some sort, how would I bolt it down so when if I get to an abrupt stop, the shelf would not come flying down.

Some have faith in screws, I prefer bolts. Welding less flexible, more expensive labor costs.

Into the steel of course, not plastic.

Use the existing posts or beams, best not to mess with the ultra-thin body panels.

Maybe the mounts for a rear set shoulder harness?

BTW, I think the Previa were the best looking vans ever made.
