Need Help finding a good TV/Monitor setup? Any good low cost solutions, Used mostly as a Monitor, and some as a antenna TV.
Thanks

I use a 24" LG TV as my monitor. Only 720P but I don't do CAD or anything else that requires a higher resolution. I got it mainly because it had a power brick. The power brick just down converted 120 VAC to 19 VDC. I got a 19 VDC car charger for a laptop and spliced the TV end onto it. My TV now only has one conversion, 12 VDC to 19 VDC instead of the double conversion of 12 VDC to 120 VAC to 19 VDC. Every time there is a conversion of electricity, losses are involved. A good inverter is about 80-85% efficient. On top of it all, it is a smart TV so I don't have to run my USB powered PC.

1080p monitors are dirt cheap. I'd advise you to get a decent brand like Dell, Samsung or Asus.
Had my great deal monitor go whacko on me a couple years ago out of the blue.
Bought a Dell display to replace it based on a friends advice. He was right. The good Dell monitors Powercolor? Trucolor? Something color. Are really good. Might install it on the back door when I get electric finished.
