Many thanks for going to so much trouble with that post. It is a very promising idea. I will be following up on it.
I have seen other SD campground and park jobs on my jobs feed. Try Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore for longer jobs, then also the bike rally is early August in Sturgis SD. You are not too far from there.

If you want to stay in Wyoming, try the Cody WY area. There are tons of tourist jobs in parks, museums, fairgrounds, restaurants, the night rodeo.

Most labor jobs do require hours of walking and being on your feet. If you have limitations you may still be able to do a modified version of the job. Be up front with the employer, they are legally required to accomodate you if you have a disability.

On phone jobs, that is a tough way to make a living but a lot of disabled people do it. Indeed should take you to the employers: xerox ACS changed their name to Conduent, with call centers in WA and OR in nice places. In a call center you will get a lot of training and have a support team once you hit the floor. Not sure if you can live in the parking lot or not, I always enjoyed leaving at the end of the shift. Good luck!

Yes you will have to wear a mask to have a job, or even to shop for groceries in most places. The white cone shaped ones are the easiest to breathe through because they have more holes in them. Stay safe.

As a 60-something cook, I understand how hard it is. That is a job that takes a month or two before your body adapts. Even then, a bourbon or two is sometimes needed at the end of the shift. But I find it very rewarding to feed people. Plus, I've been making $18-20 an hour, plus full hook ups, plus a shift meal. So there's that.

Also, check out workampers.com.

Steamboat Springs Transit always needs bus drivers. Their training should be beginning soon. It's a good way to get your CDL and make a decent amount of money over the winter I think pay is around 19/hr now.

Go to coolworks.com search for shuttle driver or night audit lodge jobs or reservation clerk at boat rentals at major lakes at major concessionaires to the National Parks. You may want to take advantage of air conditioned housing until you get your build done it is $50 a month for an employee full hook up site here at Lake Powell they should have short time openings as some college students go back to home or school but if not government should be sending some aid till they do. We cleaned bathrooms for four hours a day over other’s days off a couple days a week for a free full hook up site at Escapee’s parks once.  The Escapees Care Center is always looking for drivers or kitchen help a few hours a day for a free spot and some meals. There are ways to supplement your income without getting paid and volunteers are usually accommodated and well treated much better than paid workers we have found. National Parks when the visitor centers open up usually have information/clerk jobs filled by volunteers for a free site as well. Quit being resistant to wearing safety equipment. It is easy to find or make a face covering that works and is easy to breath thru. Muslim women have always worn them, nurses and doctors wear them, even fishermen wear them to avoid cancer. You will have a difficult time finding a job with so many people at risk in essential jobs wanting to stay well so they can work. The main reason to wear the mask it’s to keep others well.
the truth is, the masks don't work. Expecting a mask to protect you from the virus is like expecting a chain link fence to protect you from mosquitoes

I think you will find new studies that have found the KN95 (the one without the valve) and a proper fitting surgical mask to prevent a large percentage of what you exhale, if you have the virus, from spreading to others and only slightly protect you from others. Yes some breathable cloth masks may cause you to disperse smaller particles spreading the disease. Read the CDC’s latest studies for more precise information, but the fact is the mask mandates will be here for the duration of the virus. If fact they are hopeful flu season will be affected as well as the preventive measures work to prevent spread of it as well. If you can post your sources of information I’m always open to be educated.

The other day I was Googleing for "Free education & training with certificate".   I hadn't done this for awhile since before the pandemic and was amazed at the offerings and many of these courses from name Colleges, Universities,
and online Schools.   Most had fairly short completion hours.

I also looked to see what would be the most in demand  workers.  Most were work remotely people which would work great for Van Nomads. (even if they didn't have 24/7 WIFI.....they could process  their work and then visit a WIFI hot spot to upload it.  I  figure these will be good paying jobs.  You would likely be paid by PayPal or direct deposit
to one of the major banks with a branch near you.

Much of finding work is a skill in itself.  A lot of that comes from knowing yourself,  your ability both physical and mental,  and what you know that you are good at.

Anyone needs to realize that they may be turned down by employment HR types.  It may not be personal,  it may
just be that they know your personality may not fit well with the people that they have in their organization.  (this often leaves them feeling bad too as they may have liked to have you)

So here are a few links that could be helpful.   The Jung Typology Test which is free.  Career aptitude test,  and the "Big 5".  These can be taken every half a year or year.....as they will change a little each time but they will help you to better understand what you have to offer.  You may be better than you think.  When you take these test be sure to record your results for the next times.  We are all works in progress.   So resist being disappointed if you don't care for your score and remember...no one fails these test.

Start with these

Jung Typology test with 16 personality types,  Career assessment test, and Big5 personality test:

Might be a good job for a nomad who lives in a vehicle, because you can't live in Steamboat otherwise on $19 per hour. A townhouse there is about $700000.

Enjoyed your thread. I'd figure how to not work, and allow the work to come to you.......be willing to not work, and willing to work, but only the perfect job for you.

Great thread, I like your take on the pandemic thing, you might figure in a small compromise if you can. I only wear the mask when I feel it is right

Just wanted to thanks. I agree. I will not even respond to anybody who is mask preaching. I just ignore their post and move on.

The posts on this thread are getting into theory rather than science. I have deleted some of them. Everyone has had a chance to respond and there is little to add so I am closing the thread.
