I have not made a purchase yet, as another case of Analysis Paralysis has set in. Bob's post about his experience with the TF51 has me reconsidering. Plus, I just managed to negotiate a deal on a bigger van, which now gives me tons of options on fridges.

I'm not sure the complaint about thermometer accuracy is transferable to the average consumer. It sounds like Bob is changing his temp to get the compressor to kick on/off, so perhaps this is less about thermometer accuracy and more about thermometer response time. Unless I'm misunderstanding.

Most people are probably not as discerning in their 'fridge use. I just set mine and leave it. In that case thermometer response time doesn't matter so much.

I haven't noticed any warm spot on my truck fridge, but it's a bigger model.

I just called. No go. I'll wait, no hurry. Not going to pay $150 more including shipping at this point. Maybe one day, but at this juncture .....not gonna do it.
