I figure since the truck camper is meant to go in a truck it would make sense to have the factory installed tow package in my truck sync with the camper being 2 years apart would this include a house battery link to the alternator for charging while driving? truck has a standard 7 pin and the camper a 6 pin I picked up a blue ox coiled cable to link them. This is all new to me so just trying to figure it out.

In addition to the wires needed for lights - tail, turn, brake, etc. - the 7 pin trailer connector includes a 12 volt hot wire, a ground wire, and the electric brake wire.  The camper has no brakes and so no need of a brake wire, thus the use of a 6 pin connector on it.  Proper connection to the hot and ground wire will allow your house battery to get some charge, but the thinness of the wires used does serve as a limiting factor.

a camper package has all the wires already installed usually at the front left corner of the bed. these are usually 6 pin connectors like you said you camper has. doing a 6 to 7 adaptor would be easy just a matter of getting the 6 wires to there proper location. also one of those 6 wires should be to charge a camper house battery from the factory charge system. highdesertranger

this 1995 Dodge 2500 has a 7 pin inside the bed and a 6 pin on the camper just outside the driver door. I am using a Blue Ox coiled cable to connect.
Interior lights do "seem" brighter after a long run I suppose I could meter the output 12 volt and ground while running and see if we get an increase.
Reading Willy's post reminded me of another great reason I sold the van and got the truck I hated and avoided working on the 7.3 in the van.

they make plug and play adaptors.  however I would double check the connections to make sure they are in the correct locations before plugging in.  here's a diagram for your connectors,
