Hello everyone,
I have owned my 1994 Ford Shasta Coach 22’ for two years now, and have been using it for when I ride/work my pedicab/bike taxi at out of town concerts & sporting events. It has been a great way to supplement my income as a substitute teacher.
I also have been using the motorhome for short trips to SF & Santa Cruz to escape the heatwaves of the Central Valley of California. I have been parking overnight next to the Safeways next to the marina, and near the beach with no problems from police. Other rv’ers have been living there for years!
Now, I want to equip it with solar in order to charge my 2-3 48v Lifepo4 30ah batteries that I need to use during the work day of rides. It normally takes about 4-5 hours to charge it plugged in the garage.
Or use a portable generator?
I am quite content with the size of my motorhome because I have 3 small dogs, and I have to tow a 7’x10’ ramp trailer to carry the 4’x9’ pedicab which I want to use instead of a toad when I travel around the USA during semi-retirement.
Any advice that you can give me about which easy solar kit to buy & install on my own? Thank you very much.
