good point Lee. I am also a big fan of road hazard protection. that's a big reason I buy my tires at Costco, it's included with the price of the tire. highdesertranger

I don't believe in hazard protection and I just paid the price, hit a large stone a couple weeks back on a gravel road, new tire cost me three times the cost of the hazard protection on all 4. Having said that, it is still the first flat tire, in over 35 years, it was side wall failure, not sure if the tire had already been compromised as I rubbed it against a curb just after I bought them and gouged a chunk of rubber off, the sidewall was too shredded to tell but no holes in the thread area and no I didn't buy hazard protection on the new one either, some people never learn. \I tried to talk them into a warranty but they weren't buying it.

Does road hazard protection apply to off road use?  I would frankly be surprised if it did.

Costco has never questioned when or where it happened or how I gotta hole that big in my tire. they prorate according to tread depth. I have turned in 6 tires to them over the years and since you are on the computer you don't even need the receipt. last one I turned in a few years ago I paid .67 cents for a 220.00 dollar tire. like I said Costco does not charge for this the cost is included with the price of the tire and no one has been able to beat their price. highdesertranger

I agree, that's where I got my tires last Winter.

Costco was willing to specal order tires for my motorhome, but would not install them. They are a size used on large SUVs, cheaper than many motorhome tires.

yeah they will not install tires not recommended for your vehicle. lucky for me the largest tire I can fit on my truck is approved for use. what size tires are you putting on there blars? isn't it a dually motor home? highdesertranger

The tires are the correct size LT ones. They refused to touch a dually motorhome.

Most places won't touch split rims. The MH would have to have to be an older one.

Had split rims on a military used trailer one time. Had a local tractor repair shop fix that, by replacing the tires. If you have split rims the tractor shops seem to have the tools.
