Once again, I'm a part-timer who does a lot of traveling, going to concerts, camping, and general adventuring, so I don't know how much this applies to those of you who are in the lifestyle full-time and more accustomed to it.

I carry a backpack with me pretty much everywhere I go. One of the things I keep in that backpack is a small toiletries travel bag, in which I keep most of the things neccessary to keep me looking like a productive member of society. After doing some traveling, I've discovered though, that if you pull into a department store, wal-mart, or gas station to use the restroom and you walk in with a backpack, people may profile you and think that you are there to shoplift, or you are indigent. My solution to this has been to buy a "man purse" - one of those over the shoulder messenger bags that many people use as a briefcase or a laptop bag. I put my toiletries bag in it, along with a washcloth, a small towel and my pee bottle if it needs to be dumped. So many guys carry them today, that it doesn't even get a second glance.

It's something really simple but it provides a level of stealth when going to the bathroom or cleaning up on the move.
