I travel in a 6x12 cargo trailer that i converted in to a cozy little area that has everything i'll ever need. I have a home base in Douglas County, Oregon. I haven't ventured farther that Pacific North West, but still a lot to see here.
Had to get a jump from AAA day before. Still working on that electrical thing.
see ya around, JannaB

Hi JannaB! And welcome! After you settle in, maybe some pics of your trailer and what you find to be the positives/negatives of it when compared to converting a larger size van? I was thinking of the cargo trailer option also, but am leaning towards the van because it seems it might let me get a bit further off the beaten track. And g'luck on getting that electrical thing figured out.

Welcome Janna. I'm in Portland, OR. Next time your up this way PM me and we can grab a bite and exchange stories. I'll be moving into my van shortly. I'm planning on full timing but staying local for a year or 2. You are right about the PNW having plenty of places to explore. I can't wait to get started. I've car camped and traveled all over the country but never in PNW. I moved here couple years ago.

I'm looking forward to reading about your adventures, both past & current.

Cheers

I just got back from Hoh Rainforest in the Olympic Penisula. Great country. An area I also enjoyed was west of Portland to Astoria. The small portside towns on the Columbia river were awesome. Made me want to live in a houseboat. Haha, never satisfied.
See you around. Janna B
