It'll cost you a buck.

I've missed my android for as long as I had an iphone. I had a samsung galaxy before the iphone and loved it. Except for one thing. the charging port on the 3 galaxy phones I had would become loose and charging became sporadic at best, until charging would fail completely.

This was a well documented problem. yet Samsung never addressed it and never even recognized it, to the best of my knowledge.

After the 3rd phone I swore I'd never purchase another Samsung product, EVER! I will have an android again as I don't think the iphone holds a candle to an android. But, I may do a 30 trial. Just for fun.

Isn't there a way for the newest phones to recharge wirelessly by just setting them down on a special base?  Perhaps the new Samsungs have that feature?

Regards
John

My Note 3 uses a USB 3 input port that is much larger than just a micro that most use. The extra room may make it's attachment to the phone stronger? Of course it makes it charge faster.

It's more a principle than a problem issue. I don't want to support a company that doesn't support it's products.

Too bad. I really liked that phone.

You have to buy a wireless case with built in battery. To make it all work. But also found that external battery cases can make your internal battery swell. Something about the recharge cycle. My iPhone 5 is showing battery swelling symptoms. It's always some compromise or glitch.

Not my area of expertise, but I thought I read somewhere that the newest phones were starting to come through with that technology built in by some manufacturers.  I definitely might be mistaken about that, though . . .
