Tankless water heater upgrade?

A bit late to the party,<br><br>We have a propane, on demand tank less water heater in the house. It doesn't need electricity at all. We have been using it for 13 years and never had a problem. I would think it's the same principal for the rv type. If we were full timing it, I would absolutely go for a propane tank less system.<br><br>Just my 2 cents.<br><br>Nicole
 
Nicole,<br><br>Are you sure your tankless propane gas heater doesn't use an electric pilot starter?&nbsp;<br><br> Mine does.<br><br>Bob
 
Hi Bob, <br><br>It has a pilot light which is turned on manually (holding down a button while repeatedly pushing an&nbsp;other&nbsp;button to&nbsp;create a spark). It will stay on as long as you don't turn it off. The pilot light is always on in the house but if I had the same set up in an RV I might turn it off while moving.<br><br>Nicole
