I saw there really wasn't a thread about this new service; I bought it for $50 a month and it includes unlimited video on Netflix, Hulu, etc (but not unlimited data for browsing).  No contract. I believe the pixels are limited to 480.  Still, it's worth it to me rather than having to fiddle around with buying one of those weird grandfathered plans that could disappear at any moment.

I have a hotspot with 5 gigs of high speed, unlimited 2G after and Binge on. I grew up watching SD and my eyes don't appreciate HD enough to worry about it. I barely touch the 5 gigs of high speed but have binged on a lot more than that.

I am considering switching to the $35 a month unlimited that I posted about. It would be nice to stream anything, not just what's on the list.

As long as you stay within range of a T-Mobile tower for data, then it's a good deal.

I have a T-Mobile for my smartphone. After being on the road a couple of years, I found T-Mobile didn't have the data service that I needed when camping in the backcountry. Although, the T-Mobile voice service usually worked fine. So, I ended up also getting a Verizon hotspot for data. I'm usually in the far western states.

The only BLM/NF backcountry location that I've camped where I got good enough T-Mobile data to stream video is on the BLM land in Pahrump, NV.
