Consumer Reports says that almost half the sunscreens they tested failed to meet the SPF factor advertised on the product.

They recommend buying the highest SPF factor you can find, that way you have a better chance of actually exceeding SPF 30, the minimum recommended.

Living in FL my pasty white skin will attest to their findings. I slather the stuff on by the gallon, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, very frustrating.

I have never trusted sun screen...........I don't like putting anything on me.....lotions, sunscreen, etc etc. Your skin is the largest organ and it absorbs stuff. Sun screen is a man made chemical. Sunlight is natural. If I have to pick my poison, I'll take the natural one any day of the week.
