Sterilite 4 Drawer Dresser

My wife Fran and I bought a baby toy hauler last summer. It's a functional RV but a little spare on storage space. I bought one these from a local Walmart for about $50 plus tax.  It is well made for what it is, lightweight and fairly sturdy. What I like most about it is that the each of the drawers has five rollers to help in making it easy to slide the drawers in and out. There are three rollers on the bottom rear and two at the top rear in the corners.

[font=Arial, Helvetica]The four I bought are way too large and heavy for this application. A much smaller latch would be fine I think. I went a little overboard on this installation. I used pop rivets to mount the pieces in the plastic body of the unit. I think it would be OK to use just the rivets alone. On my unit I used a whole saw to cut a one inch disk out of the inside of the case so I could use a flat washer as a backing to mount the rivet through. Velcro tabs might be easier to use if they stick to the plastic OK.[/font]

I had a couple of smaller versions of those drawers for the first year or so I had the van. I mostly camped in it before I started to build it out and they worked perfectly for keeping things organized as a temp setup. I used some bungy cords to keep them secure to the walls and never had an issue.

They worked so well that I probably could have kept them permanently but I ended up building shelves and upper cabinets to store things.

I was looking for storage options that I can easily move out of the cargo area in the trailer when it is time to load our motorcycles. My original post was done in my usual bassackwards fashion. I couldn't take any photos of the modifications I made to the dresser because the trailer is closed for the winter under several tarps and a full cover. 
One thing our trailer lacks is usable counter space. IKEA has some nice bamboo table tops that I think would serve well that I could cut down and attach to the top of the dresser.

I use the smaller three drawer version in cupboards that are supposed to be for hanging clothes...tall space that would be useless otherwise. Using drawers makes the space more efficient and practical.

Those can only hold so much weight on top without extra support. I had a way of using a rod to hold the drawers closed while driving. Those are a good item.

We also used Sterilite products... We choose the single drawer units in two different heights.
I built a surround out of thin plywood, and coveted it in the gray felt like material.
There is space below for two six gallon water jugs.

I eventually plan on a special top and upper cabinets, but it gonna need to warm up some, lol!

I'm using small vertical bungies for containment...
This cabinet buts up to the bed at the rear, and the two burner stove in front, in the space between the cabinet front side and the seat back...
