This was posted on the F150 Forum. He mounted a 1962 Grumman step van onto a 2017 F150 4x4 chassis with only minimal modifications to the body. I couldn't post the direct link (said the file exceeded 100 kb) but here is the link; www.f150forum.com/f118/f150-chassis-swap-472289/   This looks like what a lot of Vandwellers are interested in. I wonder why in the world someone would go to that much trouble and use a F-150? highdesertranger

150's are a lot cheaper than a 250 or 350 (you knew that). Just stating for those that may not. Hopefully he doesn't want to carry much.

It's easy to get a Kurbmaster with a rusty P30 chassis, and not too hard to find an OK 4x4 P30 chassis to swap in.

Guessing very roughly from recent ads in Minnesota and Wisconsin, $1,000-3,000 for the van and $500-1,000 for the chassis might get you the parts you need.

It's all aluminum, right? Might not weigh much more than what the steel cab and bed weighed originally.

Pretty cool swap anyway.

The 8 footers came out on 1/2 tons. Mine is a 10 footer one ton single wheel and is way too strong for vandwelling I could take out leaf springs in order to make it sit straight and be less rigid. 3/4 ton would probably be ideal. In saying that this looks like a very nice conversion
