ok I posted about long term camping with prospecting clubs, here is another short term option. got this idea from another post about capri campers used by rodeo cowboys. small rodeo's are full of campers and often don't charge to stay there. it's only for a few days at a time but they are usually in small cities were you could resupply. also county fairs when the fairs are on they have camping areas some even during extended times. most of the time quite reasonable. as far as the rodeos you are pretty much guaranteed to have a good time and great security. highdesertranger

We parked a couple nights at a VFW. I showed my VA card, asked permission, and promptly shown a place out of the way where we could park our motorhome.
We also stayed 2 nights at a Goodwill parking lot in Nevada. In the last couple months we've paid for a space 3 nights. Once in Vegas because we needed to dump tanks and receive my oxygen (for COPD) order. Two nights in Beatty, Nv because we were having fun at Bailey's hot springs RV park. Main Street Station in Vegas was $18 and Bailey"s was $25 per night and they even fed us dinner.
We look for places like truckstops, stay at Camp WallyWorld (WalMart), Safeway (and other grocery stores), Casinos, and wide spots along the secondary hiways. In small towns often stores, bars and other places are good for a night.
We've been told only once that an owner didn't allow parking overnight and found another place down the street where it was ok.
On weekends flea markets are sometimes good too.

The rodeo idea sounds pretty good, could be lots of fun.
