Scared and Excited

Hi All,

I recently discovered Bob's youtube channel and it's made me think that maybe I can really do this (this being get a Class B or small C and travel the country) but I'm scared!!!!  I'm scared of being lonely and feeling isolated, of my vehicle breaking down, being unreliable (I will have to buy something older), I'm even afraid of knowing how to dump the tanks, etc. :/  The ironic thing is, my ex husband and I actually owned a 31' Class C about 10 years ago and I drove it (never backed it up though!) and had no issues.

Anyway, I am also very excited! Excited to see all the places on my Bucket List (the Grand Canyon of course, Death Valley, the Arches, Redwood and Petrified Forests, our beautiful beaches, etc.), excited to prove to myself that I can do this on my own and not only be OK, but thrive and love my life again....

Welcome! I can totally relate. I decided that I definitely want to do this about a year and a half ago and initially had all the same fears, and many more. Now I'm just frustrated that it hasn't happened yet, I can't wait to leave my s&b and live on the road. I've been selling everything but then there is always something that comes up that I need the money for. I need to seriously find a creative way to save money fast so I can buy a vehicle and just do it!!!!!!

You will be fine, you will figure it out as you go. If you have the chance to just do then just do it!

Being scared is normal. I think we have all been scared of one thing or another, whether or not we will admit it is another story.

Sure , there will be times when everything isn't going to be perfect but ....... you will be having such a great time it won't matter to you.

I'm getting ready to go out to Mojave and Death Valley in October also. I'm a little nervous about finding a camping area as I usually reserve at state parks. This will be my first time trying to wing it on the road and hope I find a spot before dark.
