Hi,

I don't know if this is a welcome place to post this information, so please forgive me if I have erred.  I was in northern Iowa a few weeks ago and ran into a well used (300K miles) but fairly inexpensive 2012 Nissan NV and was considering purchasing it.  I had not gotten so far along as a test drive, but did look around and I did start it up.  It was locked in by numerous other vehicles or I would have taken it for a spin.  As far as I am aware, the unit is still available.

I believe the boxes that are in the back of the vehicle are trim panels and/or shelves that the previous owner didn't install.

Thank you.

lotta miles, but I guess fewer would be pricier

looks a bit shorter than I thought, they come both hightop and extended?

I am not sure.  I had believed just high top or not.

Check out Kelly Blue Book -- should be around $4,200. Those miles would really scare me...that's basically a thousand miles a week for five years. Perhaps if you had a mechanic check it out and can find some maintenance history....

The 2012 was the first year of manufacture, and while most have not had many problems, the first couple of years had the most and recalls for fairly minor issues. There was a story out recently about one with 500K miles with few repairs (alternator replacement the biggest, if I recall correctly), but it had impeccable maintainance.. You might want to mosey over to the nissannvforum.com where they even have a thread on the 2012s.

We have a '16 NV and love it. But be aware that city mileage sucks (we get 10.5-11.5mpg weighing 8300 lbs). But our last highway mileage was 16mpg. We have solar panels, roof rack and fan hood on top for resistance, so we're happy with that number. But I also drove only 55-60mph.

Ted,

Thanks for the information.  I have decided that 300K is too many miles for me and I'm just on my way this morning to see a chevy express.

Yes did some searching, don't see a stock extended option out there.

Some nice reefers though, 3" insulation
