Cammalu,

You mentioned Peru, etc.  By any chance did you work with the SAEC?  I was a member for the part year I was traveling in some of those countries.  The capital of each country had headquarters.  Members could avail themselves of the huge library, consult maps, even store big equipment---like whitewater rafts, mountain climbing gear, etc.

Tell me more of your Baja plans...

Charlotte I worked for the DIA out of the American Embassy.

Baja will be only a few of us with our own rigs male and female. I'm leaving details up to others. We plan for a month long trip.

Ahhh...I wondered if you might have been with an alphabet!  In that case our paths there didn't likely cross.  Wish I had time for PM.  I am packing/closing up a permaculture homestead & dealing with an overwhelming amount of "stuff" and details in order to "downsize" & be ready to list/sell.  Can no long afford much time in jest, but will continue to need help/advice along the way with truck/RV decisions.  (The forum is too much fun!)
I wish you all the best on your Baja trip plans.  Be sure to stay abreast of "developments" in real time in travel anywhere in MX---mainland or Baja.  Wish I had luxury of time to commune with you, but must get on with it.
!Que le vaya bien, amiga!
