:)   On the Yuma Az Craigs List in housing I found a place close to Blythe CA  in Palo Verde called "Tamarisk Park" It's a RV park.  Sez it's on the river with 45 spaces @  $250 mo. and they also sell TTs set up in all conditions with financing for 24mo and no interest.

THERE'S TREES THERE & WATER Whoopee!  I've been thinking that I might be better off finding something out west than dealing with dragging a trailer all they way from damn near FL/Ga/AL tri-corners.

I'm more of a laid back fish camp type of person than a 5 Star **** and spin fancied up and dude-ified RV Park type.
Does anyone know this place or others like this in  south and north Az.  My plans are still way up in the air for RTR and beyond  If I get to travel I'll cross AL, MS, LA, TX NM, and AZ.  My main stomping grounds have been TX to AL  Other than a house in SD I prefer to not see snow and ice in the winter unless I don't have to drive in it.
 Any help is appreciated.

When figuring the cost to live in a place like this, don't forget commute costs to get supplies. Isn't it 30 miles to Blythe for limited shopping, and 80 to Yuma?
Do you need hookups? Staying in an LTVA is much cheaper if not, or on free BLM land and move every 2 weeks to follow the rules. There's an RV park near Tumco much closer to Yuma if you don't need the river.

I have never been to that RV park but I have been to Palo Verde. it's a agriculture town. nice in the winter but hotter than hades in the summer, you get the summer river rats also, but nothing like your more popular spots. I stayed in the mountains to the west. I like Palo Verde but I like small agriculture towns. highdesertranger

Thanks for your input.  I've been looking at RV Parks  and Mobile home parks just to see what's in the area and what kind of money would be needed to rent a space or buy a trailer.  I did  find out one thing today,  Yuma is Park Model TTs  Mecca,  There is ton of them for sale and the prices on older models seem to be very low.

I'm used to 80+ miles for a monthly stock up shopping trip in the past

I'd love to boon-dock how ever don't think I can afford to set up the solar system I'd need.  I also need to pay to have a system hooked up.  I probably do need hook-ups mainly elec.  Then I'm going to need a elec. trailer jack at some point.

At the present time I intend to ready my 25ys old 4x4 Ranger super cab with a 4.0 V6 as my tow vehicle.  It's been used as such for the 12ys I've had it and never let me down.  I'm trying to figure a cheap way to get  to have a small livable lite weight something to tow.  I'm about to the utility trailer with a large insulated plywood box stage already.

Thanks Again         Jewellann

:)  I like ag towns too.  Where else could an old bat like me drive a chemical fertilizer feeder truck off the roads and into a field without getting arrested?

Thanks for the info re: seasonal weather.  If I'm spending a lot of time in that general area I'd like to move with the seasons.

One big problem for me in the mountain's....I become a steering wheel gripping brake riding slow driving fast cussin' where do I pull this S.O.B. over I'm gonna die now driver. I'm a flatlander.  I don't know much past Phoenix or Flagstaff going west bound.

Mountain Desert=pound cake, piled high with fruit, drizzled with Hersheys syrup. and covered with cool whip YUM YUM  :D
Have a good week-end   Jewellann and snoring Queenie......how can a little dog make so much noise?
