Thanks! There are a couple of possibilities for transportation. I'm waiting for folks to decide where they'll be travelling from and the timing. Nothing for sure yet. I'm preparing by buying and/or borrowing the stuff I'll need. Getting excited! Thanks for caring, you and all the other kind folks out there following the progress of my "wild idea."

Yes, she's precious. I just llove her "living room" outside her tent. I feel badly about her CHF. I've been there and done that, thankfully back to normal for a long time now. Hope we can follow her for a long time to come, and I hope to meet her at RTR. I'm still trying to find a way to get there.

Me too...I'm down in Kingman, so if I manage to go to the RTR and you can get to Kingman you are still welcome to ride down with me.

yes I could take your gear. I might be able to give you a ride but as of right now I can't promise that. Dune already said she could give you a ride she is in Kingman and will drive right by where I am at in Mohave Valley. we just need to get the timing right. I am planning on leaving from Mohave Valley on the 9th. highdesertranger

Okay, thanks. Don't know my geography so didn't know you and Dune would be able to coordinate (if she goes) between her location and yours. I expect to kick in for gas for transporting both my gear and me. The 9th sounds just perfect, but I would have to have my daughter bring the gear on the previous weekend, probably Saturday Jan 6, as she works Monday-Friday. Would that work for you?

I figure I would need to find my own way home from RTR, is that right? I am hoping my daughter will be willing to come and get me the weekend of Jan 20-21. That way she can also help me break camp. I know I can only be there 14 days.

Looks like I'll be heading down for the first weekend...leaving Friday after work to host a singles gathering of some kind at 7pm and coming back Sunday.
