Where ever you find me
so, this week I begin the wiring in the walls.   Several places will be wired completely with recessed lights.

But...where can I find recessed cigarette lighter type 12v outlets?    Now is the time to get them in too

Yes,  the sockets.   Those are all single.   Wonder where I might find these in single panel of 3 or 4.

I don't really know how many I might need....but I figure to put 4 on each side.    Humm. Maybe be more.   Seems like I always use whatever I get.

Also, does it make sense to wire each separately or just run them all from a single smaller gauge wire?

I ordered them this morning.

Is it better to wiring each individually or in series?

I know with the splitter I use in the car, my iPad does not get enough power if others are plugged in.....is this because of sharing a single wire.

it's because of the single small wire. if you use a large enough wire then one wire is ok. highdesertranger

WOW they actually claim that ciggy socket can handle 15 amps!!! NO way Jose!

Especially through those blade connectors. I'm really surprised they rate it that high.

My 2012 Ford Superduty has two ciggy sockets on the dash.  One is labeled for power and is marked 20 amps.  The other isn't labeled and I just leave a usb charger plugged in there.
