Can't remember the name of the place...small restaurant on the 1st hairpin turn as you go up through town - it will be on your left. Accessed by going down a couple of steps to the lower level.
Two of us had the greatest breakfast meal there ever - and it was lunchtime....
Course that was in spring of 2016 so who knows.
Edit: From Lake Havasu that's a tough drive. I headed for Kingman because Laughlin was still too hot. Wonderful overnight temps up here at Coyote Pass just north of town.
We were in Jerome last week and have a *fantastic* meal at "Grapes". Highly recommended. Pasta, Soups, Sandwiches, Salads, Pizza...honestly, everything was fantastic and fairly priced!
Where were you thinking of going? As stated above, Kingman has some good spots that are cooler than LHC. You are going to be getting into some colder weather still if you go much higher than 4 to 5 thousand feet elevation. Coyote Pass is good, but right next to the freeway. Just east of town off of I 40 is DW Ranch rd and further on, is Blake Ranch rd. Both have some good spots that are pretty quiet.
