I'm ready to order the polycrystalline starter kit on Amazon and they offer a 4-year warranty for $5.70.

Usually I don't buy those warranties but for that price, what the heck.

What say you, experienced folks?

Slow2day, why not the price is low and Renology has been around awhile. Will it cover hail damage? If so then definitely. Jeff

It is by Square Trade and not directly by Renogy. I guess it would take a while to research and find out if others have used it and had a good experience.

I guess a better question (for a poll?) would be how many failures users have had with the systems.

For that price, why not? I agree with the previous person about double checking reviews and if all looks okay, go for it.

"Mechanical and electrical failures"

It goes into effect after the Renogy warranty is up.

Since I changed the order to monocrystalline the warranty is offered by another outfit called Asurion.

I went ahead and ordered it.

I mount my panels on the hood of my older pickup. 4 years so far and no problem.

Just think how many panels you could fit on the hood of a '76 Cadillac El Dorado.
