I'm Kar, from Northern Utah.
Recently became a full time caravan dweller. I have been a horse trainer, rehabilitation specialist, and riding instructor for the past 35 years. Along with other assorted jobs, including working for Youth corrections, and working for the local county fairgrounds.
My illness started a few years ago. Leading me into forced retirement, and a few months ago, my fiance' decided he was more interested in being abusive, so I did an emergency relocate back to my home state. With no income, and not on disability, the caravan came to happen because of my longtime friends that have been involved with my horse business over the past several years.
My caravan is parked on my friends property, right next to the horse pasture and a brilliant view of the Wasatch Mountains. I am not traveling with my caravan, as I'm not able to drive much. So I am pretty content. I have settled in quite well, along with my 2 cats and 2 dogs.
I have 3 adult children, and 4 beautiful grandchildren. Two of my children are local, the other is in California.
I hope to be able to purchase a different caravan in a few years, and maybe travel if I can find a travel buddy to drive. But until then, I just tinker around in my 19' 1971 Cavalier I think the most difficult thing to adjust to has been not having my paintings up, and missing my coffee cup and salt and pepper shaker collections.
