Haven't been on in a few days.  I have been dealing with the most Intense drama and BS of my life.  Hopefully soon my wonderful husband and I will be selling everything we own and moving back west. I am looking for recommendations on a good van that we can build out.  I am looking for reliability, ease of repair, etc.. Normally I would do my own research but I am so frazzled that I can't think straight and would like opinions from people living the van life.  Ps sprinter is too expensive
Thanks

I’ve been in my Ford Transit for three weeks. It is a short wheelbase with the medium roof - perfect for me and the dog. For two people the two longer models may be a better option.

Hubby and I each have a Nissan NV 2500 & 3500 (we travel together and separately). We didn't wand a Ford (Found On the Road Dead), an expensive Sprinter or a Fiat (Promaster). The vans come with a 5 year/100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, so far are problem free and have a huge, comfortable cab. I've had half a dozen of Nissans over the years and have been happy with each one.

The negatives? Crappy gas mileage and a shorter body. But the tradeoffs have been worth it.

Best wishes on embarking on this new adventure,
Ted

Thanks everyone with your ideas. Still looking for something to fit my needs. I am sure it will come to me when the time is right. For now...I stay busy preparing g for the day that I can drive off into the wild blue yonder to find myself..
