Thanks for the info froggie. Sounds like where I ought hang out for a while so that I can get my build finished up.

Jamie used to hold his van builds there before they got too big. Lots of auto parts stores as well as boat shops as it is on the river. Also lots of neat car and plane and boat and fireworks shows during the winter season. The airport is across the street from the Walmart and towards town is a Tractor Supply Company that sells hardware and propane. South of town the Cattails Cove State Park that used to offer reduced rates before the first of the year when the season starts, talk about great hot showers but it is 20 miles or so south of Home Depot.

The spent some time around Havasu and there are several good places for boondocking, north and south of town. However, the biggest problem I had was getting a shower. I guess there is a gym or two in town, if you like going to that sort of place. Old codger versus a lot of young buffsters. Woof. Or you can drive 20 miles north to the truck stops at I-40. I also recall stopping at Cattails Cove SP and it was both expensive and completely full (high season).

In contemplating heading to AZ this winter, I see showering in common facilities like the laundromats in Q and E as possible health hazards.

And jimmy, I hope you realize you responded to a 6 yearold post.

There's the aquatic center. $5 for "exercise drop in," or $6 for adults, 5$ for seniors during open swim. You don't need to exercise or swim if you don't want to.

And I seem to remember some store about at the center of town, between the highway and the lake, that had showers. But I might be confusing it with somewhere else.

Your are correct I believe but also I guess I forgot to mention there is also another state park in town as well as public access to the Colorado River. I just usually set up our shower on BLM land if the state parks are busy. I had Looked at the swim center but never bothered after getting preseason rates at the state park.
