I was just reading an add for a Chevy Astro and I see the guy mentions;<BR>"Aslo installed port hole windows so it can be driven on parkways"<BR><BR>Porthole windows server a purpose other than a -look through- astetic?<BR>Are there any other strange van rules like this?

No commercial trucks on parkways in New York(state wide), didn't know it meant vans too?

in that reguard, "commercial" refers to the registration of a vehicle- nothing to do with windows. For example, when i bought my bus, ( in Ny) it was registered plain ole passenger. I owned a business, and insured it as part of that business, thus i registered it commercial. When i moved to Al, i was informed that it could be registered as an rv, which i did for cheapest insurance and registration. Nothing about the basic platform of the vehicle changed, BUT THE INTENDED USE DID. See what i mean? Also, in Ny, pickups under a certian GVW can be registered commercial or passenger, depending on thier intended use. I did, however have to pay extra on the NTS thruway because i was "overheight".... as in i took up more of thier airspace....
