So does large doses of vitamin C. I am fond of emergenC fizz packets at 1000mg per packet. I take one at night to build up immunities to any nasty stuff.

It's not science, but I have a hunch that the southern desert environment is more healthy due to the dryness and massive amounts of sunshine bleaching everything.

My elderly friend watches alot of old movies, and I have to agree: what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I am a huge risk taker....I went to my neighborhood Seattle coffee shop today :)

But a lot of folks are not risk takers. Today was the first day, in likely the last 50 years or more, that there was no morning rush hour commute slow down in Seattle. The webcams on I-5 showed what would have been 7:30 am traffic on a rainy ordinary Sunday morning instead of the normal slow crawl for that time of day on a weekday. The governor said to stay home and people who could did.

I am becoming increasingly concerned as the virus spreads in this country for the chaos that will result from schools closing and parents not having paid time off or affordable child care.

I remember the financially struggling, working single parent days all too well.

And that’s just one piece of it.

No traffic jam in Seattle. Must feel like the week after 911 with no air traffic - that was strange. I am not worried about the virus but not going to be foolish either. Panic will do as much harm as the virus if we let it. We have limited control of the virus but complete control of our panic etc. With my health problems, if I get it, I will quickly become a statistic. But I was not planning on living forever (here). Does that sound morbid. I think it is just the reality and if my days are limited (and we know they are; virus or not) I am going to enjoy what I have. Of course all of my children are adults, I have no grand children (I have grand cats and grand dogs) and I live alone. God bless those who are responsible for little ones and older ones.

Even though I am now in a house, it is in a very small rural community and at the very edge of town.  The bovines next door are the best neighbors. The pantry is well stocked.  I already self isolate mostly anyway since the only people I see are check out clerks and nowdays, you can self check, HA!.  Dislike going out unless I have to.

So now I have an excuse not to!  Does that mean I can wear the same sweats, skip showers, not shave and just generally be a slob?  Think of all the water it would save!  And gas. Very little laundry!  This may be the best time ever.  Woo hoo!!

Have you been peaking in my windows - sounds like my lifestyle. I haven't shaved since Oct 8,1977 - but I have showered (once or twice) since then.

Has anybody else noticed the lack of info out there about conditions in our neighbor, Mexico?

We are staying healthier by staying home. I think there was a sick person in our social group, encouraged to go get checked out. That was when there were no test kits to be had. And this place is getting much cleaner since we started cleaning things with the Lysol.  Nothing wrong with disinfecting your skin by exposing to sunshine, and sweating out toxins   -crofter
