Pilliga Forest

This is more aimed at Australian members - if there are any - but here goes anyway. Has anyone ever stopped overnight in the Pilliga Forest in NSW. I drove through there way back in Feb. 2000 and even though it was in daylight, I still felt very uneasy. And that was years before I actually knew there was something a bit 'off' about the place.
