I'm into sketching and painting, but have thought about getting a DSLR camera. Right now I just have a GoPro for my videos.

I use film myself. It is cheaper to purchase a good used film camera setup than digital. If you can wait to see the results, and don't mind sending your film away for development, you may like the unique things it has to offer.
