Nice video, but I do wish Bob would talk about his start in van dwelling on the yahoo groups, like most everyone else who was doing it years before his website began. Yahoo changed the functionality of the yahoo groups, making it through email only, within the last year or two, so many groups moved elsewhere. It is a treasure trove of early information. Many still take part, even Bob.

You can always provide links to the IO group to come and read what he has to say here.

Hey James,

Thanks a lot for posting that video. I hadn't seen it before and really enjoyed it. It's good to get to see a different perspective on this way of life. I do appreciate his British perspective and I loved it when he adopts an American accent, like when he talks about the different types of barbed wahr.

Nailed It !

American Nomads is a 4 episode documentary film. Bob Wells is in episode 1, he is not in all the episodes.  That means you could have watched "American Nomads" and not have seen Bob Wells because you were watching  a different episode than #1. No one is going to have to change the name of the film, it is the same film, just a different episode of it.

American Nomads is a BBC documentary production that is being shown in the USA on PBS stations. So that explains why it can be seen elsewhere than on PBS.

Here is a link to the wiki page for Richard Grant, he first wrote the book "American Nomads" and then it became the documentary that he starred in. The article discusses another project of his about the Southwest. He is currently living in the USA and yes he does have a British accent but he was not born in Great Britain.

He does have a website: http://www.richardgrant.us/

Hopefully this clears up any confusion :)
