The good, the bad, and the ugly.
So I needed an RV replacement part quickly for a water leak. Couldn't find it locally so searched online and ordered it through the Walmart Marketplace without doing the usual due diligence. It was shipped immediately and arrived on time. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I ordered! So I called the number on the packing slip, nobody answered so I left a voicemail. Called again several hours later, left another voicemail. Sent an email, no response. THEN I started researching.
Walmart provides a marketplace for small vendors to sell their goods. The website states if you have a problem you must resolve it with the vendor (in my case, BZB Products or BZB RV and Marine, they've changed their name apparently). But I wasn't able to get ahold of the vendor.
After more researching, I found a link to a Walmart Marketplace helpline. It led me to a chat, whereby they checked everything on the order and credited back the purchase and shipping amount. Told me to either keep or donate the wrong part.
Walmart took care of it once I managed to find out how to reach them, not easy since they say you must deal with the third party seller. They lend their name and expertise to provide a place to do business, really pretty brilliant but feels a little underhanded. The good side is, once I figured out how to reach them, they promptly fixed the problem.
Meanwhile, drip drip drip under the bathroom sink. I was able to find the part locally and the leak is fixed. The local RV parts place had it but the day I was calling around, their phones were down due to a power outage. Sigh.
Would I do business with Walmart Marketplace again? Maybe. They did handle it even though they make it hard to reach them. But you can bet I will not skip checking the vendor reviews (there were no reviews for BZB) again!
Anybody need an RV tank flusher replacement sprayer head?
