Not bad, but still too small for me...

Gen One and Gen Two have tranny issues. Modified Aspen/Volare platform. I'd pass.
The Gen Three and up are better and more reliable, with more room inside.

Conversion van, but way too high priced frankly, but interesting conversion...I saved the pics so when the ad goes, these shall remain. Only $3,995 for it...But an 88? Nah...
Cool pics though, I do wish the sellers would put interior pics in the ads!

the 'loft bed' kills it for me, if the price and 'gen one minivan' hadn't already, I don't want to go mountain climbing every time I have to pee at night

Those mini-vans are based on the K-platform... "K-cars" for those of us who are old enough to remember them. For a long long time Chrysler built just about everything on the K-platform. The transmissions A604 or something like that, (I cant remember it's name) and was an OK transmission as long as you added a cooler. Its the same issue as the older RWD trannies. They are almost unbelievably overweight and under powered as memory serves me correctly. I remember in trade school working on these and build quality, although better then the previous F/M platform (volara/aspen/Diplomat/5th ave) were pretty bad compared to today's cars.

The newer ones, 1998 and up were much better... ESPECIALLY the transmissions. They shares the 4cyl with Neon.
