I am new to this forum, am going to re-learn how to live in my truck (I lived in my truck in the 1980s for a few months and loved it).  Have a 1996 Ford F250 7.3 liter diesel 4x4 crew cab with a camper shell and travel with 2 Australian Cattle Dogs.  Mostly retired, I can take off when I want, and work when I want.  I live in Tucson, AZ.  My profession is Information and Library Science.  My vocation is being a Licensed Chaplain and training dogs and horses.  I love your videos; they have really sparked the old desire in me to travel, see new places and enjoy just being.  I'm definitely feeling the call to the open road and good conversation with like-minded folks, interspersed with my usual plenty of alone time.

Welcome, Jerbe . . . I used to have a truck with a camper shell I slept inside of, back in the 1970s. In retrospect, I'm glad nobody ever locked me in by closing that latch that was on the outside.

Thanks for the "heads up!"  I have worried about that when sleeping in my horse trailer too.  In the truck, I have a fail-safe for that, have a "boot" between truck and camper shell, and can actually crawl up into the cab of the truck; the doors of the truck can be opened from the inside when they are locked.  I have various means of self-defense with me at all times in case someone gets weird on me.

Enjoy the open road!
Sounds like you have a nice set up for yourself!
