I love looking at all the videos and posts!
Especially with the pandemic, I've been doing more "car camping" out of my 2005 Honda Element. I'm a naturalist (and crafter and financial coach ...) so enjoy being able to get exactly where I want to be.
But I find the Element a little small for anything over 4 days and am thinking that 2021 will be the year to extend my car camping explorations. My current plan is to buy a 2008-2010 Sienna and load mostly no-build.
I'm looking forward to learning more and sharing tips, too.

Welcome K butterfly. I am an East Coaster two from PA but now in Florida for obvious reasons when dwelling is a little cold in Pennsylvania. Problem is the last couple nights I’ve been cold here too. Last week I was bragging to my PA friends about our 80° temperature while they had 10 inches of snow at home. Now their emails to me and remind me that Christmas was the coldest it’s been in 25 years in Florida. Believe me they don’t have to remind me. But it’s warming up. Forgive me this Thread isn’t about me it’s about you.. What type of naturalist are you? I am an amateur naturalist. Expert on not being student of everything. I ran a small nature center for many years taught biology in high school for a bit. Keep us posted on your progress.

Welcome to the CRVL forums kbutterfly! Keep us updated on your plans!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome from VA!
I'm in the DC area in process of building my van out for an extended road trip.
Happy trails!

Welcome to the CRVL Forums  :)

While the Element would be nice for weekends the Sienna will be much more comfortable
if you wish to do a simple build and travel some in it.

The links below may hold some ideas for you.  One for builds and the other a portal of info
to make your travels safer, more comfortable, and convenient.

All the best.

I was about to think there were no people from my area here. I'm in Maryland about 3 miles from the DC line. Kbutterfly, do you care to share what county you are mostly in, or travel to? I usually go into WV, because I can't get enough of those mountains.

Tree sprite and kbutterfly. I love West Virginia to. Take me home country Roads West Virginia Mountain Mama take me home. But I wanted to tell you it’s interesting that song was written by a group of young people while sitting in an apartment on DuPont circle in the heart of DC.
