I am a new RV owner. Haven't been on my first trip yet. Plan on being a full timer. I will be looking for help for sure.

Welcome sjd to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Jeff, I bought a 1997 Lazy Daze 24' twin king. Ever since I saw Bob interview Jeannie in her Lazy Daze, I have wanted one.  Jeannie has a 26'. I chose to keep it smaller since I do not know what I am doing and figured the smaller the better.

Nice! I'm starting with a Ford van and often wonder why I put myself through this. The RVs look so comfortable and I'm roughing it in a van with no build except a nice floor.

We all have our own comfort levels. There isn’t one better than another.

When I started looking around on Cheap RV living many years ago I had bought a really tiny fiberglass trailer. I think it was about 8’ long. I needed info on storage in very small spaces.

Bob was in a cargo trailer then I believe and I started gleaning info from his website. I don’t believe there was a forum at that time.

Over the years I kept buying and selling and got bigger, then smaller, then bigger again in the types of trailers and RVs.

I only suggest that before you buy take a hard look at your comfort levels. Don’t look at something too big or small and think, “That might not be too bad”. If you are already thinking it then that’s probably not going to be ok for you.

I guess the most regrets I have heard over the years is not being able to stand up.

I’m in a behemoth now for medical reasons as an adjustable bed was necessary for John. So I guess that became our new comfort level.

Welcome to the CRVL Forums    :)

Since you already have a rig now, let me invite you to view the bottom website (the two green links below this post)
It could be a great help to you to plan with while at home (before you go full time)  and once you are out there full time.
Lots of handy stuff to know about.
