Hi I'm new here but do have a question relating to my Hot Water Heater. I think the water froze last night even with the heater on. I may have a leak also as there is a frozen water column coming down underneath from I believe the heater. Any suggestions on thawing it out. I had the gas on so I don't know how it could have frozen but my luck has been consistently bad of late. Any suggestions will be grateful.

Hi Robo,

I don't know anything about hot water heaters, sorry! There are many people on this forum that do tho. You might think about starting a new topic in the "Questions about living/traveling in an RV." forum, or in the "Going to the bathroom/showering." with a topic that says something about your problem like: "Hot Water Heater froze last night what do I do!"

That will help everyone see that you have a problem that needs an answer in the soonish time-frame.

Anyways, WELCOME! I'm Tara. I've been full-timing in my cargo van since August of 2012, and really enjoy the life! I'm currently in Nevada headed south to the RTR.

Hope you enjoy the time you spend in your RV.

With Love,
Tara

Thanks for the fast response. It turns out both my black and grey holding tanks are frozen also. I hate this cold but alas can't move until payday and a little after. I have an electric heater under the holding tanks and we shall see. Oh life and tribulations of a wandering man. What's funny is each holding tank has it's own heater that I have turned on. However, they must not be working and until I get a tester I won't know what's wrong.
