Hello folks!

Just bought a 27' Starcraft travel star 245RBS to live in part time.  It's definitely been an adventure; found out the hard way the grey tank doesn't seem to close :s

Anyone else have this travel trailer, it's been hard to find info online about it?

Attached is a pic of the RV

You may need to replace the knife valve (the thing that closes the tanks). They are very simple to fix. As you will discover, RV systems are delicate and wear out with sitting in storage. They also wear out with use....so I hope you enjoy tinkering, because RVers need to frequently tinker!

Congratulations on your new RV, hope you enjoy it. If you haven't already, you might like to join the iRV2 forum on Tapatalk. You can find out how to replace your grey tank knife valve there. If I were you, I'd replace the black tank valve too, before it decides to go south on you (much worse than grey valve, as you can imagine)!

I'll have to look into that, hopefully that's all it is.  What's odd is there are actually 2 valves for the grey tank and they both seem to not close; I push them in and they just push back out.  For now I got one of the twist-on waste valves to mitigate the issue.

Thanks so much!  I've been lurking on iRV2, I'll go join right now.
