No skill whatsoever. Just got myself a new promaster city for my weekend warrior/daily driver rig. First mod was horse stall mats in the cargo area. i am installing a mini vent soon, and in the meantime looking at insualtion ideas. i want something temporary and also im wondering if i can insulate only the panels? doesnt need to be perfect, i dont live in it!

cheers

Welcome to the CRVL forums derekdeadend! Moving pads might work for really quick and temporary insulation.

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the CRVL forum  :)

Sounds like you are off to a good start there.   Many people begin the same way you are approaching it.
You may want to take a look at the first link below in my signature line.  "Van Conversion".  That could get
you a start with a minimum of build.  The flexibility of having the bed & kitchenette so quickly removable or to
put back in place would allow you to insulate, install wiring, or use the Van as a utility vehicle to haul stuff.

....and all the stuff take up very little room when stored in a garage or storage building when not in use.

Good Luck
