ok i think i figured it out.. this is a rough diagram i did real quick last night of my dream set up for a step van. (or bus).

the left side (upper view of the diagram) is very rough.. in reality it will fit much more like the side view diagram i drew up. well.. it fits.. in my head! LOL..

the area with the shower i imagine , would be 3x4 or 4x4 feet square with 2 or so feet between that area and the toilet area which would be another 2x2 feet roughly. i'd plan to use one of those toilets i popularly see in a lot of other van set ups.. the shower i would probably make shift.. and i would have water deposit buckets installed in slots below the vehicle so that i can remove them for dumping or recycling.. for the toilet id probably use kitty litter and just dump it so it would be a dry toilet. i'm not concerned with water pressure so i figure if i can get just WET by the shower enough to soap and rinse ill be fine so maybe 5 gallons of lowww pressure water, even if its just spilling over my head would be fine by me lol..

secondly the main area. the couch i will build on a platform uniform with the wheel wells.. so that the entire area would cover the width of the truck .. and the center would fold out into a bed. so that its double the size of the "bed" section itself , enough for 2-3 people (Probably cramped with 3) . then from there id have a fridge and microwave stacked on top of each other.. also built on platform with storage beneath and next to it which would act as a brace for the fridge. the top sides of the van would be fit with shelves and storage space about 1 and a half foot from top to bottom.

the windows id like to be about 3 feet tall by 5 feet long.. sliding would be nice. with removable screens

for the TV, i would have it on a hinge and brace/bracket system so it could be tied up when not in use to save space. and i would probably have a 22'' flat screen..roughly.

i tried to keep the water elements and hygiene area to one section furthest away from passengers so in case there is an odor issue. i can pop a window open and it would eliminate that.. and i wanted to keep all electronics nearer the front to make for easier electric installation, battery hookup for said electrical units etc. i have a laptop so i figure i would need at LEAST 6 wall sockets, for the TV, computer, the microwave, and the refrigerator and any other type of electronic device i might need like a small fan.

Now one of my only issues that remains.. is.. either from my size estimates.. or from your own , based on what my diagrams look like.. i have no idea what size of van or bus i would need to pull this off.. And at what cost (for the vehicle)!? I'm not concerned with the items that will be going in because i will be building this as i go and adding more with time..

enjoy my dream any suggestions or ideas you have to share too is awesome

for the 4x4 square feet i think thats wrong. what i mean is 4 square feet. you know.. just 4 feet like 4 square tiles .. LOL not 4 feet by 4 feet that would be gigantic!!!

You have a plan that can be adjusted to size of your vehicle. Did you ever consider putting your honey bucket in the shower? It would make cleaning the honey bucket area easier because you have running water there. You can use the other area for more storage. Where's your kitchen area? I see a fridge but no area for a sink/stove, countertop prep area. You made good plans, have a good ideas and by the time you get your vehicle you'll be set to build. Good luck and Good job!
Rae

I think the 5gallon idea for a shower would be plenty. I have been using a solar water bag for gravity presure and only use a out a gallon. I believe several other members are more frugle with thier water.

yes this is all designed to fit in a step van, y-wave. . and good point yesican. I could do that! that would be a great idea. also i labeled the shelves and storage units as storage but in reality i would use that area next to the fridge and microwave as counter space. also i think i changed my idea for the bed (center section of the couch) i think im going to make a pully system so that the bed hides up to the roof . so i have living space when im not sleeping (i didnt think what id do when i wasnt sleeping with that section) and it would be an easy build. also a most the storage pieces will be built sizable to be used in other areas.. such as under the bed as support for sleeping. etc. this will also provide for a thinner bed frame itself so its not "hanging low" from the ceiling, and also provide for a cleaner more streamlined feel to the whole plan i thinK!

oh .. i said it was all designed to fit in a step van but i also really have old school buses in mind... although this all goes back to my price dilemma.. i'm currently looking right as we speak. for cheap ass step vans and or buses haha..
