Hi!
I'm preparing for life on the road to begin Jan 2021 when my current lease ends. I've been watching YouTube videos and reading as much as I can preparing. This wasn't my plan, however is my best option. I want a HOME and this suits my budget perfectly - only wish I'd done it a year ago!!! lol

Welcome TigziDoodle to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the forum. You are at the right place to have your questions answered. Like everywhere else what you will find is a variety of opinions and options - "your mission, should you decide to accept it" will be to choose the one or combination of them that is best for you. It will not be impossible! My first piece of advise is to save every penny - no thrills, no meals out, buy nothing that is not absolutely necessary etc, that is the best way to be prepared for the nomad life.
What region of the country are you in?
From someone who is "old and confused" lol - Nature Lover in South Central PA and soon to be in East KY.

Welcome to the CRVL forums   :)

I was lacking in confidence when I first started too.  Fortunately my Dad mentored me in the methods he developed in the
early 60's.   I was given his old Van (see my profile story) and his Rand McNally campground atlases etc and some of his notes.  Then I went on the road looking for work and that had me traveling far and wide.

It wasn't as hard as I first thought.  But this was before the internet and cell phones.

Since then I've collected all of Dad's notes  and put together the two sites below.  One about building out a Van, Trailer, and a "bug-out" car.  The other, a portal of cheap rv travel information that could be a life saver for those who become familiar with it and learn to use it. (it's all free)

Hope you find it helpful.
