Hello, I am new here. my husband and i just started vandwelling in Arkansas but would really like to go somewere warmer for the winter. we live on a very low budget. would appreciate any advice.

My humblest advice is for you to get a map of the U.S, then locate your location. Now that you have located where you are, look to the north, then head the opposite way[emoji652]️
Seriously, if you want to do it the easiest way is to just do it. [emoji4]
Lots of people here on low budgets that will help and advice you. [emoji106]

Quartzsite, Az (and area) is a popular place to spend the winter. Many of us get along on the cheap down that way.
Several folks from this group are there now (or not very far).
Later part of January there will be many there for the yearly RTR meet-up.

It does get chilly at night, but the morning sun usually warms it into the 70s.

We'll be headed that way in a couple weeks....Hope to see you there.

One of the nice things about Q is that nobody thinks a thing of folks living in vans. Its an easy lifestyle in the Q area.

Welcome to the CRVL forums! Quartzsite is a great place to stay in the winter but it's a long drive from Arkansas. You can head south and stay in southern Texas too. Check this website for free and cheap camping - http://freecampsites.net/usa/

I second Quartzsite, AZ! If you are staying in RV Parks they are extremely cheap there! You can get all hookups for less than $200 a month!

Or, if you are a boondocker, you can stay at a BLM LTVA (Long Term Visitor Area) for 7 months of $180.

Cheap living, good weather and lots of nice people. Hard to beat that!
