I don't know if any of you are familiar with a company called The Teaching Company.  They go around the country looking for the college professors that teach the best, most interesting courses around - the courses that everybody on campus tries to get into - and then record them for sale.

Right now they have a sale on a 36 part course devoted to all the National Parks and their geology that I bet a number of people here might enjoy.

that's cool OP thanks for posting it. I have looked at their courses before and never saw that one. highdesertranger

I have several that I listen to on leg driving stretches. I got mine through Audibles. Good stuff, was unaware of this course.

I found it odd that only 67% would recommend a National Geographic presentation. I read the reviews of the course. That might also help others decide if it is for them. A number of people indicated that the speaker was more gifted as a scientist than a speaker.
A monotone presentation puts me to sleep like nothing else.
Here is a similiar course offered by them that people might like to compare. http://www.thegreatcourses.com/courses/science/nature-of-earth-an-introduction-to-geology.html

that's the course I was looking at. I see the price has come way down. I might pull the trigger. thanks for posting this. highdesertranger
