That was last year. He recently said that it was a mistake. I think, exposure only amplifies the event. He explained that individual speakers could request not to record and/or post their talks/speeches.

A good camera can make a difference, but a good photographer can make beautiful pictures with an IPhone and a good camera won't make much of a difference for a lousy picture taker

Nothing wrong with posting a still of someone doing a public presentation, key word public. I think recording the information presented would be wrong without permission of the presenter.
