It's kinda thin on the roof not a whole lot of wood to drill into ribs here and there, but it seems solid enough. gotta wire it all together today. Are all TC this light on top?

Most of them. I recall a number of years ago Lance had an option for a walk on roof - they added a layer of plywood under the aluminum. I'm not sure if other brands had that option, but it would add considerable weight up high right where you don't want it. On my old Four Wheel popup I walked on the roof a couple times, but only when it was in the down position of course, and then staying on top of the framing members. Mostly I tried to stay off it and just reach things from ladders.

any RV without a walk on roof is a little flimsy on the roof. I mount the panels to the rafters, 2x2's. highdesertranger

yes well got them up the panel is pumping watts and the vent not so much, seems these older guys were not wired for power vents or it was an option the original buyer opted out of, the way the vent wiring in the photo facing the 110 covered outlet easy enough to take a 12 volt feed from the light fixture.

yep run it right over to that light. you can probably do it under the ceiling panel. highdesertranger
