I'm pretty sure this topic has come up before, but I could use a refresher course; I'm in Colorado now and have laid down&nbsp;$500 for the first months rent at an RV park, and now have to PROVE to the Post Office, Obama and everyone in between that I actually exist, and live where I say I&nbsp;do,&nbsp;(establishing residency). Anyways, I need to tag this motorhome I bought&nbsp;in Spokane with the tags overdue as of June 1st. The problem is that my ins co, AAA won't insure it because I actually live in it. Go figure. So, I'm looking for a company that knows the issues and knows how to deal&nbsp;with them. Suggestions anyone ? <img class="emoticon bbc_img" src="/images/boards/smilies/frown.gif">&nbsp;

Hi Scarlett.&nbsp; I have never posted before, but have been reading on here quite a while.&nbsp; I recently bought an older Class B motorhome, and was looking for that kind of insurance.<br><br>I remembered the name Foremost from somewhere, so called an Independent agent who carried them.&nbsp; As it turns out, she had never done a "fulltimers" policy before, so we both learned something.<br><br>After sending photos of front, rear, both sides and&nbsp;interior of my RV, I received a policy that acknowledges that&nbsp;I am going to be using this vehicle as a residence.&nbsp; It really does cover more than a standard auto policy...more like a homeowner's policy.<br><br>I don't know if this can help you, but it worked well for me, in PA.&nbsp; The premium was acceptable, too.&nbsp; Good, I thought, for what it covered.<br><br>Here is a link to a site that mentions several companies that seem to offer this type of coverage, including my Foremost:&nbsp;&nbsp; <a href="http://www.insideyourrv.com/rv_tips/rv_fulltimer_insurance.shtml" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://www.insideyourrv.com/rv_tips/rv_fulltimer_insurance.shtml</a><br><br>I hope it is okay to post that link here.&nbsp; <br><br>Best wishes, <br><br>Heather

I saw this advice on another forum:<BR><BR><P>There is no one package that is best for everyone, everywhere and no agency that is best either. Insurance tends to very quite widely in cost and coverages based upon the drivers of the RV and the home address as well as driving records and even credit rating. The best package for you must be selected by comparison shopping just as you do for selecting an RV, house, car, or any of the other more expensive things in life. &nbsp;We have Foremost too. We've used them exclusively the whole time that we've been fulltiming (20 years) and are very satisfied with the service that we've received which has included being towed twice, getting a new battery delivered to our campsite, a major damage claim and several small claims. The policy has roadside service so you don't need AAA or any other roadside service company.
